Hello there and welcome to the Color Fusers Blog Hop for March 2022! This is my second month as part of the Blog Hop team and I would like to thank the girls for asking me to join them – it’s been a while but I have loved the challenge of this months colours! We are working with Evening Evergreen, Soft Succulent and Rich Razzleberry.

Now I have to admit, whilst loving my greens, Rich Razzleberry is a colour I do not use very often all, only if it’s included in papers really. It’s not a go to for me. When deciding which stamp set/bundle to feature I thought I had better go for the easy option and go floral using the greens for leaves and stamping and the Rich Razzleberry for the flowers.

I broke into my Tulips dies for the first time, literally taking the cellophane off them and I am so glad I did! I must admit I was quite daunted with how they would come together but they are a lot easier than I realised once I got going. I die cut the tulips in the Rich Razzleberry card and inked the edges with sponge daubers, the remnants of which you can still see on my thumb nail! This card progressed as I went along and I never intended to do any watercolouring at all. I was originally going to have an embossed background using all 3 colours and various embossing folders but the Aqua Painters called to me and I created this hand drawn background using the largest of the Aqua Painters.

I also watercolored an extra piece of the card and the Soft Succulent ink and once dry I stamped the greeting in Evening Evergreen onto the watercolored card and die cut this using the Layering Circles dies. I wouldn’t be a Julie card without a bit of ribbon so I happily obliged and added some of the Soft Succulent Open Weave ribbon .

I really enjoyed the challenge of making this card and using this colour combo, do hope you like my results!
